My entire career I have promised God and myself that with my success or celebrity, I would make
a difference in my world. I would be an example and speak out for things that are important. I have been graced with amazing children, friends, family and a career that keeps me busy and creative all
the time. How awesome!
I need to make the success that I have count. So, getting back to this movie. It had such a profound effect on me that I want to encourage everyone to
educate themself on the animal abuse that is going on behind closed doors. The kind of abuse that was captured on this film via hidden cameras would make the hair on your body stand up. I thought I was going to pass out. It was as awful as 9/11 to me because
it continues all the time.
These are not isolated incidents, they go on ALL the time. We have to make a change in the way our animals are being treated because even though they cannot speak, they certainly can feel. They feel pain, fear and panic. Mothers ache for their babies and babies cry out for their mothers just like we do. They have suffered tremendously at the hands of some very unempathetic people. Please educate yourself and donate to these organizations that are trying to give some kindness back to the animals. It is up to us!
The movie I saw is titled “Earthlings” and narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. It is a feature-length motion picture addressed to the entire spectrum of mankind’s abuse of animals.
